1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use the MV Event Styling website, request a consultation, submit an event enquiry or purchase an MV styling service.

References to “MV”, “we”, “us” or “our” mean MV Event Styling. References to “you” or “client” mean the person requesting or purchasing the service.

Nothing in these terms is intended to remove or restrict any statutory rights you have as a consumer.

2. Our services

MV provides services including:

• Remote event styling consultations.
• Event styling and design.
• Mood boards and styling concepts.
• Colour and decor direction.
• Tablescape and floral direction.
• Supplier sourcing where included.
• Event setup guidance.
• Optional live video setup support.
• Wedding styling enquiries and bespoke proposals.
• Local Full Event Setup & Coordination where available.

The specific work included depends on the package and add-ons you select.

3. Consultation requests

A standard MV consultation is currently priced at £49 unless otherwise stated on the website.

Consultation requests are subject to review and availability. Submission of a request does not automatically guarantee that MV can accept the event.

Where a consultation is accepted and you subsequently purchase an eligible MV styling package, the £49 consultation fee will be credited towards the selected package as described on the website.

4. Event styling packages

Package descriptions and prices are shown on the MV website. Different packages provide different levels of styling, sourcing and event support.

The client is responsible for reviewing the package description before submitting the request.

Where a package has a defined number of revisions, supplier categories, consultations or other deliverables, additional work beyond those limits may require an add-on or separate fee.

5. Wedding Styling Blueprint enquiries

The Wedding Styling Blueprint is shown as a price “from” figure because wedding requirements can vary significantly.

Selecting the Wedding Styling Blueprint submits an enquiry only. No automatic payment is taken when the wedding enquiry form is submitted.

MV will review the wedding information and may provide further information, questions, availability and pricing before any agreement is formed.

6. Supplier sourcing

Some MV packages include research into suitable event suppliers near the event location.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, supplier recommendations are provided for information and convenience. You remain responsible for deciding whether to contact, select and contract with a supplier.

Supplier availability, pricing, terms, quality and delivery arrangements are controlled by the individual supplier and may change.

Unless MV specifically confirms that it is contracting with a supplier on your behalf, the contract for the supplier's goods or services is between you and that supplier.

7. Pricing and event budgets

The price of an MV styling package is separate from the client's wider event budget unless clearly stated otherwise.

Your event budget may be used to guide recommendations for decor, flowers, hire products and suppliers but does not represent money paid to MV unless it forms part of an agreed MV service.

Supplier prices shown or discussed by MV may be indicative and should be confirmed directly with the relevant supplier.

8. Payments

Where payment is required, payment or payment authorisation may be handled through Stripe or another secure payment provider.

For services using an approval-before-payment model, submission of the form may place the request under review rather than immediately confirming the booking.

The website will indicate the amount associated with the selected package and any add-ons before submission or payment.

9. Acceptance of a request

A submitted form is a request for MV services and does not necessarily mean the request has been accepted.

We may need to review the event date, requirements, location and workload before confirming that we can provide the service.

A booking becomes confirmed when MV communicates acceptance and any required payment or payment authorisation has been successfully completed.

10. Cancellation and cooling-off rights

Consumer cancellation rights may apply to services purchased online or at a distance. The Consumer Contracts Regulations include a cancellation period for many distance service contracts. Where you have a statutory right to cancel, we will respect that right.

If you ask MV to begin providing a service during an applicable cancellation period, your cancellation rights and any amount payable for work already performed may be affected in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Once personalised styling work has commenced, any refund or amount retained will depend on the work already carried out and your statutory rights. Cancellation charges must be fair and reasonable; they cannot simply be made non-refundable by wording alone. Specific cancellation information can also be provided when a booking is accepted.

11. Changes to your event

Please tell MV as soon as possible if significant details change, including:

• Event date.
• Venue.
• Guest numbers.
• Event budget.
• Event type.
• Styling direction.

Significant changes after styling work has started may require additional design work and may therefore involve an additional fee.

12. Revisions

The number of revisions included depends on the package purchased.

Additional revisions beyond those included may be purchased where available.

13. Full Event Setup & Coordination

MV's physical Full Event Setup & Coordination service is only available for qualifying events within the current local service area around Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

The website may use the event address to determine approximate eligibility.

Eligibility shown by the website remains subject to MV availability and final confirmation.

14. Live Setup Video Support

Live Setup Video Support provides remote styling guidance during event setup.

The client remains responsible for physically arranging, lifting, installing and securing event items unless an on-site service has separately been agreed.

Reliable internet or mobile connectivity is required for live video support and is the client's responsibility.

15. Your responsibilities

To provide an effective service, MV relies on accurate information from the client.

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate event and venue information.
• Providing accurate measurements where requested.
• Obtaining venue permission for installations or decorations.
• Checking supplier contracts before booking.
• Ensuring products are suitable and safe for the intended venue.
• Following venue rules and restrictions.
• Arranging appropriate access for suppliers.
• Ensuring any physical setup you undertake is carried out safely.

16. Inspiration images and design references

Inspiration photographs are used to understand your preferences.

MV does not guarantee an exact recreation of another event, Pinterest photograph, social-media image or supplier image.

Designs may need to be adapted to suit your venue, budget, available suppliers, product availability and practical constraints.

17. MV designs and intellectual property

Styling concepts, plans, mood boards and other original materials created by MV remain protected by applicable intellectual-property law.

Clients may use materials supplied as part of their package for the purpose of planning and creating the event for which they were prepared.

They must not be sold, commercially reproduced or presented as the work of another stylist without permission.

18. Responsibility for third parties

MV will use reasonable care when researching or recommending suppliers, but independent suppliers are separate businesses.

MV is not responsible for the acts, omissions, delays, cancellations or failures of third-party suppliers unless the law says otherwise or MV has specifically contracted to provide that service itself.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

19. Events outside our reasonable control

MV will not be responsible for delays or inability to provide services caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, subject always to your statutory rights.

Examples may include severe weather, widespread travel disruption, supplier failure, power or internet outages, emergencies or other events that could not reasonably have been prevented.

20. Website information

We aim to keep package descriptions, prices and website information accurate and up to date.

We may correct obvious errors or update services, pricing and availability from time to time.

21. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.
